![]() ![]() Action gaming easily dominates the industry, and ask yourself this question: "What would people think if Survival Horror/Action/RPG genre dominated the market?" It's also a question of abundunce, as I said earlier, there weren't too many of the Action/RPG hybrid. What a person might call it, is fear of change. Shock 2 was released at the peak of the HALF-LIFE craze, even though I think Half-Life, though good, cannot touch Shock2 in terms of quality and gameplay. You might say, people were scared of Action/RPG hybrids back then, they weren't too common. Comic book themed games have it hard as well. Freedom Force, their second game, was just as good, though a genre they had no experience in, received stellar feedback from various reviewers, and people simply tuned it out, because it was "corny", and the game was meant to be corny. ![]() They were new to the gaming scene, but did a job noone who experienced the game could forget. Irrational Games, an awesome company as well, worked beside LG with Shock2. It's kinda wierd isn't it? How one of the best (THE best in my opinion) gaming companies can put out games of perfect to superb quality on a regular basis, and have it ignored by the general public. : \ People could say anything like that about any of the recent LG games, minus Thief II, which sold quite well, but was not enough to pull them out of debt. ![]()
